Stage: Ship Assignment and Final Documents
Now that you have received your ship assignment you must ensure all documents are uploaded to your C-TRAC profile
02. Apply for your Police Good Conduct Clearance Certificate online on E-citizen platform
03. Book a Medical Appointment with a KMA approved medical doctor – this will allow you to apply for the STCW course.
04. Book and Complete the BTSR – STCW Course at one of the approved institutions for STCW course. Kisumu Maritime Institute, Bandari Maritime Academy & Pioneer)
05. Apply for a Kenyan Seafarer’s Book at KMA
07. Book a Medical Appointment with RCCL approved Medical Doctor (Dr. Rishad’s Clinic & German Medical Centre)
08. Check and confirm all documents are complete with WCSCS International Team (New Hire Check-List)
Your C-Trac Profile should include the following documents:
- Offer Letter
- Background Check (Intl)
- Personal Data Form
- New Hire Checklist
- Police Clearance
- RCCL Medical Certificate
- Visa (depending on your joining port)
- Seaman’s Book
- Passport
- STCW Certificates (BTSR)
- Travel Itinerary (upload screenshot of flights)
We advise you to start collating your documents in a folder as these will need to be accessible when boarding the ship:
- Passport
- Visa (with original receipt for reimbursement)
- Seaman’s Book
- Letter of Employment
- Original Medical
- STCW Certificate
You will not be able to board the ship without the original documents.
